Their final night together was spent in desperate tenderness, sharing a love too fragile to survive the world that had destroyed them. But with the dawn came Nexus, a living symbol of rebellion, who pulled Corvus’s wounded soul toward vengeance and ignited a fire he could no longer ignore.

As Nexus called for an uprising and Lazaire spoke of a distant hope in Bwigenga, Wren and Corvus found themselves standing on opposite shores of the same broken world. Wren begged him to run with her, to honor Noen through life, but Corvus, lost to his rage, chose war. Their split was inevitable—Wren joining the Hopewalkers to seek freedom, Corvus embracing his past as NX-13 to destroy the system. In the end, they walked away from each other, each carrying a different vision of love, survival, and the future Noen would never see.
